Yeah that was seriously disappointing, who knew “robot kick boxing” could be so boring.

Wild…we don’t have them on outlet-basis, it’s the entire house that’s protected by them, they’re installed at the power-inlet to the house so everything is protected by it. And they’re mandatory even on old houses.
It’s a bad idea either to go touching live wires either way, but the rule of thumb I heard was was that a 110V shock usually won’t kill you and 220V shock usually will.
That’s completely incorrect though. I’ve been shocked by 230VAC at least a dozen times, if not more. And the fuse for the circuit absolutely should not be the limiter, the RCCB should trip WAY before the main fuse.
Key thing here being that they’re old…there are limits to how much power electrical equipment is allowed to consume in standby mode (at least in the EU) today, it’s not allowed to consume more than 0.5W in standby mode, 0.8W if it has a status display.
There’s a reason we talk about lethal current and not lethal voltage…30mA can kill you, even at something ridiculously low as 9V, but 5-10kV will not necessarily kill you, e.g. fences for horses will not kill you if you’re electrocuted by them because there’s basically no amperage. Voltage is not the determining factor in lethalness.
110 is probably better in terms of general safety
Eh, not really. There is no significant difference in safety between 110vac and 230vac. Voltage is not the (most) dangerous part, it’s the amps that kill if you’re electrocuted.
You can do that too
That wasn’t covered much (if at all) where i live sadly. I was not aware of that at the time.
Yes well, unfortunately I can’t just waste that kind of money so that’s not really an option. FWIW, I bought it more than 4 years ago before he went full apeshit in public.
You just need to avoid peak evening hours to avoid overloading the grid, and a timer set to start at 1am solves this perfectly fine.
Depending on where you live, night time is also lowest load on the grid.
Most drivers prefer plugging in at home or nearby, especially overnight. While this offers convenience, it creates problems for the power grid, which is already under stress during peak evening hours.
Wildly misleading title. Overnight charging doesn’t pose a problem, charging in the evening may pose a problem. All EVs today have scheduled charging so you can plug it in when you get home but it won’t charge until nighttime where load and price are low. This is a non-issue, it has already been solved for everyone but the most dense idiot consumers.
Yes, and then this joke is just stupid and not funny.
In what world is a pair of scissors even remotely comparable to a razor!?
Have you ever tried trimming a beard with a pair of scissors? It’s ridiculously hard to do well yourself (I’ve tried). It’ll look like shit and take ten times as long as a good electric trimmer (which will also last you many years). Alternatively I could go to a barber, but that would set me back more than $100/month with trimming twice per month.
They’re less than useless for anyone that doesn’t do a full clean shave. These guards are for trimming the length of the beard, not remove all of it.
Germany is also technologically 30 years behind the rest of the world…

two motors (why even)
To have mechanically independent FWD and RWD, this is actually pretty standard for all AWD BEVs and not just Tesla.
My piracy is probably equal parts sticking it to greedy corpos and me just not wanting to pay when I can get it for free.
The people throwing these things tend to hit random things on the street they happen to be in rather than the actual fascists or their property more often than not. Protest, get rowdy and loud, try to change things…but fucking concentrate that shit on the people that deserve it and not just the random shit you see in front of you.
The even bigger issue is probably the lack of senior devs in 10 years because they never got hired in the first place.
